Urban Crossing:

An urban regeneration project in the city of Frosinone (Italy) that transformed anonymous urban spaces—such as squares and stairways—into places of sensory experience through sound-based and sculptural interventions. The aim was to reconfigure the urban environment through aesthetics capable of stimulating the imagination, participation, and perception of those who happened to pass through these places.

Ciociaria

Ciociaria is conceived as a sound suite that foregrounds local musical traditions, ranging from saltarelli to vernacular song forms, articulating a dialogue between memory and contemporary sonic practices. The installation consists of six loudspeakers distributed within the vegetation surrounding the square, integrating ritual chants and folk melodies—repositories of collective memory and dialectal expression—with electronic components and solo wind performances curated by Gianni Gebbia. The work aims to mediate the transmission of Ciociaria’s sonic and cultural heritage to younger generations.

Itinera

Itinera is an installation that delves into soundscapes as expressions of culture, choosing sites for the distinct acoustic identities they reveal. Among them: the bustling voices of vendors at Molfetta’s fish market; the solemn reverberations of Milan’s Monumental Cemetery; the raw, elemental power of the Carrara quarry; the layered contrasts of Venice, shaped by the presence of tourism; and the majestic, eruptive force of Mount Etna. The work unfolds along staircases, guiding listeners through a journey of discovery and care for these recorded soundscapes. Interwoven texts both orient and open the act of listening, inviting each visitor to form their own visions and interpretations.

Nemorra

Nemorra is a visionary sound installation where renowned voices flood the square, merging with the primal echoes of meteors and the growls of untamed beasts. Repeated obsessively, these speeches speak of war, nuclear arsenals, and conflicts, revealing how animality and instinct are threads woven into the fabric of all living beings.
The installation transforms the urban space into a surreal, disorienting soundscape, where contemplation and unease intertwine. The future hangs suspended in the tumult of our own primordial impulses.
